Saturday Smorgasbord

Shown subordinately sit a selection of songs spanning several styles, it's Saturday Smorgasbord (seemingly spelled silly, if you sought my suggestion). Ok, that was a little bit of a stretch. But here's a few tunes that I've been collecting that haven't really meshed in with other posts but that deserve to be shared.

Riverside (DJ Otto Remix) - Sidney Samson


Colegiala (3Ball Monty Remix) - Douster


This is one of the best Riverside remixes I've heard, from one of the three DJs making up Mexican sensation 3Ball Monty. These kids are 18,19, and 20 years old, and are rocking the Gauchero party scene. I recommend you check them out, you can get an awesome mix over at Fader and their 2010 EP free over at Mad Decent. These aren't necessarily new, but they're must haves. The King of Africa VIP Mix was one of my favorite jams of last year - he takes Lion King up to a whoooole new level there. And check the others for yourself, Douster is for those who like a little raw tribal bass here and there. And last but not least...

Morgan's Bay - Goldroom


Red Light (Goldroom Remix) - Gigamesh


Goldroom, the solo project of one of the band members of NightWaves, makes the most chill of disco house. Morgan's Bay was a smash hit a couple of years ago, and this remix of Gigamesh's Red Light is the ideal light summer tune. Dude's got talent.

Schlachthofbronx is quite a mouthful

If I was just listening to this duo from Munich, there was no way that I would pick up that they were from Germany. The name kinda gives it away, though I have noo idea what it means. They're fans of Latin music, sirens, and really heavy baselines.

These are my two favorites off their most recent Carimbo EP on Man Records (which is awesome, by the way), and I'm sorry to say that I don't have a download. But they are really killer. Carimbo has a bit more Brasilian flavor, which I dig.
